EDINBURGH CITY CHAMBERS WEDDING PLANNING TIPS & IDEAS

Weddings at City Chambers are simple events without extravagant set ups. Let
the architecture be your decor and add modern details, fun color palettes and
bold oral pieces to create something truly unique.

A City Chambers wedding does not allow your event to prohibit other visitors
from using the courtyard. I recommend sunrise or a morning ceremony because
Royal Mile is such a high trafc area for locals and tourists.

Car-pooling is recommended as parking in this area is nearly impossible.
Pack a picnic and small bottle of Champagne to pop and celebrate your nuptials
with.

EDINBURGH ELOPEMENT TIMELINE

I always recommend eloping at sunrise or sunset for an Edinburgh elopement.
There are typically less people out on Royal Mile at sunrise and it is the best way
to avoid the tourist crowds. A major plus is you’ll receive more privacy, even
though this is a popular destination for tourists.

Most of the time, couples book a local AirBnB to get ready, have a rst look there,
as well as family portraits and then we head over to City Chambers for the
ceremony and newlywed portraits.

Edinburgh Elopement timelines always look a little differently based on the
weather, time of year, and where we begin the day. If you are getting ready at an
Airbnb make sure it is within a 15 minute walk of City Chambers. First decide
which room you want to get married in City Chambers, then choose your getting
ready location and any other special activities you want captured. And I will
create a custom timeline for sunset, sunrise or early morning depending on the
season and popularity of the locations.
