Fanfar när svenskt 1700-talsreplikfartyg återvänder från Kina

Kinas president Hu Jintao, som var i Sverige för ett statsbesök, gick ombord på fartyget tillsammans med Sveriges kung Carl XVI Gustaf och drottning Silvia efter att det lagt till, till stammar av traditionell kinesisk folkmusik.

Det ursprungliga fartyget, Ostindiefararen Göteborg, var på väg tillbaka från sin tredje tvååriga resa till Kina 1745 med full last när det körde in i en sten vid inloppet till Göteborgs hamn.

Inom hamnen sjönk den långsamt på grunda vatten. Medan besättningen räddades förlorades nästan nio ton porslin och återfanns först i slutet av 1980-talet av frivilliga dykare.

En tredjedel av lasten, som även inkluderade te, siden och kryddor, räddades och såldes vid den tiden, vilket gjorde expeditionen ändå lönsam.

På lördagen avlossade repliken en pistolhälsning efter att ha passerat platsen där originalet sjönk för 262 år sedan.

Den 40 meter (133 fot) långa och 10 meter (34 fot) breda kopian, som replika handväskor,
