Ideally, you want to stay a day or more in each place (maybe less if it’s a small town) and sometimes maybe just a quick break in the afternoon and if you are short on time. Whichever way you choose to fly, planning is key! All driving times below are approximate and remember to check the duration of each journey. Ideally, a satellite navigation system will be the best at helping you navigate. We will start with Paris, because it is the capital and there are many things to see. You can sample delicious food of all kinds and have coffee and cake at one of the many nearby cafes before you begin your epic journey. The Effiel Tower is a must-see for anyone visiting Paris to enjoy the magnificent view from the top. Visit the Arc de Triomphe in the center of Place Charles de Gaulle, the second largest of which is a large structure. It will take about an hour and a half from Paris to Reims. Visit the statue of Joan of Arc in the Place Royale and Notre-Dame de Reims where the kings of France were crowned. It is a famous and beautiful cathedral and well worth a visit. You can spend the night here if you want to spend a few hours seeing the sights and experiencing the culture, or stop at another place that is about two hours away. Metz is the privacy of Moselle and SIIL. Go to the cathedral St L oenne has a good structure on the window of a glass glass. Also visit St-Pierre-Aux-Nonnains, the oldest church in France dating back to 380 and 395 AD, originally built as a Roman amphitheater and converted into a Christian church in the 7th century. There are many churches to see in Metz, so take the time to find them! This place will be a good place to spend a restful night. An hour and 40 minutes away is Strasbourg. See the famous cathedral of Strasbourg, which the city is well known for, as it has an eighteen-meter sky clock, one of the largest in the world, inside its walls and is a beautiful sight to behold. The city also has many parks of cultural and historical interest, for example, the Parc de L’Orangerie has a small neo-classical castle and a zoo.
The next journey is a little longer, two hours and thirty minutes to Besançon. It is close to the Swiss border and has one of the most beautiful and historic cities in France. La Boucle, the old town connected to the horseshoe of the Doubs and closed by the Citadel Vauban (fortification). It is also good to see St Jean Cathedral because its interior is inspiring.
A nice place to spend a relaxing night is Dijon, an hour and 10 minutes away. You can visit the Crypt of Dijon Cathedral, which dates back a thousand years. Visit the Ducal Palace which is one of the few remains of the Capetian period. Also, it is believed that Notre Dame, rue de la Prefecture, is lucky and people will touch their left hand and make a wish. Dijon, as you may have heard, is also famous for producing Dijon mustard.
